QA Designer (Contract)

$60/hr (w2, eligible for benefits)
40hrs a week and on going
We’re seeking a QA Designer to ensure development builds align with design intent and meet the highest standards of visual and interaction quality. This role sits between Design, Engineering, and QA—not a traditional designer and not a QA engineer.
You’ll act as the design quality owner, auditing UI across builds and releases to ensure pixel-perfect execution.
What you’ll do
- Review development builds against design specs to ensure alignment
- Audit UI for typography, color, spacing, padding, and layout consistency
- Identify whether issues stem from outdated specs, incorrect builds, or implementation gaps
- File clear tickets, track fixes, and lead design quality call-outs
- Partner closely with Design, Product, and Engineering through release cycles
- Proactively look for issues before they ship
What we’re looking for
- Strong UI/UX design foundation with exceptional attention to detail
- Technically proficient; comfortable installing and testing builds
- Proficiency in Apple OS environments
- Expert in Sketch and Figma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Portfolio not required
Nice to have
- QA, media, or consumer digital product experience
