About the job
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

A successful Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Responsibilities include:
Verify, post and reconcile inventory and the standard costs.
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
Verify and reconcile DTC accounts receivable status.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Provide monthly sales information for sales and use tax filing to a 3rd party vendor.
Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
Prepare year-end return reserve for DTC.
Verify and update DTC sates interface from subledger to the general ledger.
Assist with tax audits and sales tax returns.
Support month-end and year-end close process which includes reconciliation of accounts.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Reconciling merchant accounts
Recording DTC sales
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Liaise with our Production and planning team to ensure consistency with the standard costs.
Liaise with the logistic team in year-end inventory stock count and reconciliation.

Position Requirements & Skills:
Experience in retail industry, at least 3-5 years
Experience in revenue accounting
Prior experience in inventory counting.
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred not a Must
Proven experience as an accountant
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, RLM, Teamwork and Oracle
Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
