We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Retail Engagement and Marketing Copy Editor to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of all marketing copy for our retail engagements. You will collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to create compelling and engaging content that effectively communicates the brand message to customers.
1. Edit and proofread marketing copy for retail engagements, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency of messaging.
2. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop and refine copy for various marketing materials, including in-store signage, digital ads, email campaigns, social media content, and more.
3. Ensure all copy aligns with client’s brand voice and guidelines, maintaining a consistent tone and style across all channels.
4. Conduct thorough research to gather information and insights to inform and enhance the effectiveness of marketing copy.
5. Review and provide feedback on creative concepts and designs to ensure they effectively support the copy and overall marketing strategy.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform copy development and optimization.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and retail teams, to gather input and ensure copy meets their needs and objectives.
8. Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of marketing copy, using data and insights to make recommendations for improvement.
9. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all copy is error-free and adheres to brand quality standards.
10. Stay current with client products, services, and initiatives to effectively communicate their value to customers.
1. Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a copy editor or similar role, with a strong background in marketing copywriting.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
4. Strong understanding of brand voice and the ability to adapt writing style to align with the brand guidelines.
5. Proficiency in using content management systems and other relevant software tools.
6. Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for optimizing copy for search engines is a plus.
