Title: Senior Manager, Marketing Operations
Overview
The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence across a global marketing organization, with a strong focus on AI-enabled transformation. This role leads marketing operations across planning, process, financial management, and performance reporting, partnering closely with senior marketing leadership, Finance, and cross-functional teams. You will ensure marketing strategies become executable plans, resources are allocated effectively, and teams have the right processes, tools, governance, and AI capabilities to deliver results at scale.

Location: NYC (hybrid)
Rate: $65-75/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute marketing operations processes, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across global teams.
- Translate marketing strategy into clear operational plans, workflows, and execution frameworks.
- Build and optimize workflows, tools, and KPI reporting to improve collaboration, visibility, and efficiency.
- Lead creation of executive-ready decks and narratives for key reporting and planning forums.
- Integrate AI into core marketing workflows (planning, campaign execution, reporting) through pilots and scaled implementations.
- Develop reusable AI templates, prompts, and playbooks to accelerate and standardize execution.
- Drive annual and quarterly marketing planning; support long-term planning and scenario modeling.
- Oversee global marketing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting in close partnership with Finance.
- Implement financial controls, reporting mechanisms, and process improvements across month/quarter-end close.
- Identify and deliver process improvements and AI-enabled automation to remove friction and manual work.
- Influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed, global environment; provide operational leadership on AI adoption.
Core Requirements (Must-Haves)

Experience: 7–10+ years in marketing operations, marketing strategy, business operations, or similar roles.

AI Application: Hands-on experience using generative AI in marketing processes, workflows, or content operations.

Global Scope: Proven experience supporting global or multi-region marketing organizations.

Planning & Execution: Strong background in marketing planning, operational execution, and performance reporting.

Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial forecasting in partnership with Finance.

Process Design: Track record of building, scaling, and optimizing processes and governance in complex, matrixed environments, including AI-driven transformation.

Executive Influence: Ability to manage and influence senior (VP-level) stakeholders with confidence and credibility.

Communication: Strong executive communication skills, including deck creation, narrative development, and presenting to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience partnering with Finance, Analytics, Legal, Procurement, IT, Brand, and external vendors.

Tools & Governance: Familiarity with marketing operations tools, workflow/project management systems, marketing finance platforms, and AI/automation tools; strong understanding of brand governance and legal/compliance requirements.

Leadership Style: Ability to lead through influence across global teams and time zones; comfortable with testing, iterating, and learning quickly in pilot environments.
