Senior TikTok Strategist / Lead role (strategy + execution + monetization)

This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role that owns both strategy and day-to-day execution across multiple TikTok accounts. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in TikTok culture, trends, algorithm optimization, and monetization experience across TTS and TikTok Live, and thrives at the intersection of data, creativity, and audience growth.This role reports to the Director of Marketing and owns TikTok strategy and execution end-to-end. You will shape how music and artist-driven content shows up natively on TikTok.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage TikTok content across multiple brand channels, developing platform-specific strategies for video topics, formats, and posting schedules aligned with audience demand and business goals
- Conceptualize, edit, and publish high-quality TikTok videos optimized for performance, engagement, and discoverability
- Write compelling, on-brand captions and hooks that follow TikTok best practices for storytelling and copywriting
- Implement TikTok SEO best practices by optimizing captions, keywords, and hashtags to increase visibility and reach
- Support TikTok Live and TikTok Shop initiatives, contributing to content strategies that drive engagement and monetization
- Monitor TikTok trends, sounds, and cultural moments to inform content ideation and real-time opportunities
- Analyze performance metrics and audience insights to refine content strategy and optimize future posts
- Partner with paid media teams to translate high-performing organic content into paid executions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and partnerships teams to align TikTok content with broader campaigns
- Support live event coverage and real-time content capture when needed
- Maintain an organized TikTok content library and documentation of best practices
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience managing TikTok or short-form video content for a brand, media company, or creator, 5 + years of social media experience
- Strong understanding of TikTok trends, algorithms, and platform-specific best practices
- Hands-on experience with short-form video editing tools and mobile-first content creation
- Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills tailored to TikTok audiences
- Data-driven mindset with experience using TikTok analytics to inform content decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment
