As a Senior User Experience Researcher at this company, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our digital health solutions. You will lead user research efforts, employing a deep understanding of human behavior, psychology, and technology to uncover valuable insights. Your expertise will guide our product design and development process, ensuring that we create intuitive, user-friendly, and impactful healthcare products that address the needs of our diverse user base.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute qualitative and quantitative user research studies to gain comprehensive insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
- Identify appropriate research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic studies, and apply them effectively to answer critical product-related questions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, engineers, and community engagement managers to integrate research findings into the product development process.
- Develop detailed user personas based on research findings to represent the diverse user groups and their distinct preferences, goals, and challenges.
- Create compelling narratives and visual representations of user personas to aid the design and development teams in empathizing with the end-users.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user needs are always at the forefront of decision-making.
- Analyze research data, employing both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques, to derive actionable insights and inform product improvements.
- Translate research findings into clear and actionable recommendations, presenting them to stakeholders and driving decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive products, and best practices in user experience research and design within the healthcare technology sector.
- Conduct competitive analyses to identify strengths and weaknesses of competing products and identify areas for differentiation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Requirements
- Preferred but not required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, User Experience Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) leading user experience research initiatives for digital products, ideally within the healthcare, medical, or consumer technology domain.
- Strong expertise in various user research tools and methods, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and analytics tools.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization techniques to derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and their application in the development of intuitive user interfaces.
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies preferred.
