Senior Account Manager

We are a full-service digital marketing and technology agency based out of Richmond, Virginia, supporting a wide range of mid-sized and Fortune 500 clients across diverse industries. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoy solving complex marketing challenges, we’d like to meet you. We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Account Manager to join our team.

Location: 100% remote

Position Summary: The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring profitability across an average of 3–5 key accounts. This role leads strategic planning and day-to-day execution to deliver measurable results for clients.

Role Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead both strategic and tactical planning efforts that align with client objectives
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and administrative processes to achieve account profitability
  • History of contributing to new business efforts, including idea generation, research, and proposal development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and oversee the development and execution of creative and marketing initiatives
  • Develop, monitor, and manage program budgets and timelines to ensure profitability and on-time delivery
  • Identify and cultivate new opportunities within existing accounts to expand scope and deepen engagement
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service
  • Partner closely with creative, digital, and production teams to deliver high-quality, integrated marketing solutions
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, platforms, and best practices, and apply insights to client work
  • Support and occasionally lead new business pitches and presentations as needed
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 4–6 years of experience in an advertising agency or corporate marketing environment
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising fundamentals, including brand, creative, and performance marketing
  • Hands-on experience with both digital and traditional channels (e.g., digital media, social, email, blogs, print, direct mail, TV, radio, point-of-sale)
  • Demonstrated interest in performance-based marketing and driving measurable business outcomes for clients
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and pitch capabilities
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and composure in a deadline-driven environment with evolving client priorities
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating as a high-performing member of a cross-functional team
  • Curious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
  • Proven relationship management, project management, or process management experience
  • Track record of providing strategic thought leadership to support clients’ marketing and communication goals
