Store Designer – National Retailer
Join the Store Design and Planning team at a leading national retailer dedicated to delivering innovative, engaging, and high-performance retail environments. This multidisciplinary team drives the intersection of creativity, technical execution, and business strategy to shape retail experiences at scale. We are seeking a Store Designer to help develop and implement impactful and scalable design solutions that bring the brand’s physical presence to life across a wide portfolio of stores.
The Store Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping the store environment, navigation, and merchandising flow by aligning design strategies with consumer behavior, performance metrics, and brand standards.
Adapt and scale the brand’s store design vision across the national retail portfolio.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and visual presentations that communicate design intent clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
Support multiple projects at various stages of the retail lifecycle.
Apply design best practices to ensure creative intent and deliverable standards are met.
Develop and evolve environmental design components including layout, fixture design, and material finishes.
Ensure accuracy and quality in design documentation and partner deliverables.
Provide design solutions that align with budget parameters and proactively identify potential risks.
Serve as the central point of communication throughout the plan development process.
Coordinate design updates and stakeholder input, including architects, construction managers, and visual merchandising teams.
Integrate business strategies and performance data into store layouts and fixture planning.
Act as a primary contact for site-specific issue resolution across all project phases.
Present design concepts to leadership, including directors and executives.
Work closely with fixture vendors and internal procurement teams to ensure accurate ordering of store components via Revit and other design tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in architecture, interior design, or retail design
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
Experience with V-Ray and Enscape is a plus
Strong understanding of spatial design, space planning, and production design
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage design at varying scales and complexities
Highly collaborative with strong communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
