Job Title: Textile Designer
Location: Orange County, CA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

About Us:
We are a dynamic and fast-growing lifestyle apparel brand rooted in the vibrant culture of Southern California. Inspired by art, nature, and everyday movement, we design elevated basics and statement pieces that seamlessly blend style, comfort, and functionality. Our team is passionate, creative, and driven to push boundaries while staying true to our laid-back coastal ethos.

Position Summary:
We’re seeking a talented and innovative Textile Designer to join our design team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating original print and pattern designs across seasonal collections, collaborating closely with product designers, merchandisers, and sourcing teams. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of color, trend awareness, technical proficiency, and an eye for storytelling through textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design original, trend-forward prints, patterns, and textile artworks for apparel and accessories collections.

  • Develop seasonal print stories and color palettes aligned with brand direction and market trends.

  • Collaborate with the apparel design team to translate concepts into cohesive textile solutions.

  • Prepare print-ready files and tech packs for factories, ensuring accuracy in repeats, color separations, and fabric scale.

  • Conduct market and trend research to inspire print direction and material innovations.

  • Work with fabric vendors to source and develop custom prints and dye techniques.

  • Attend fittings, sample reviews, and team meetings to ensure alignment across departments.

  • Maintain organization of digital artwork libraries, color references, and fabric archives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Fashion Design, or related field.

  • 3+ years of textile or surface design experience, preferably in lifestyle, activewear, or casual apparel.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and pattern-making software.

  • Strong understanding of fabric types, printing methods (screen, digital, rotary), and dye techniques.

  • Exceptional sense of color, scale, composition, and visual storytelling.

  • Ability to hand-sketch, paint, or work with mixed media is a plus.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Highly collaborative with a positive, proactive attitude.
