About the Role:

The Assistant Manager - Color Development, will report to the Color Development Manager as part of the Fabric Team, and assists with ensuring global color quality and execution for the brand. This role has either spent time as a Color Analyst reviewing lab dips and strike-offs, has familiarity with the technical aspects of color, is well versed in the creative side of the business, or has spent time in a design/creative role and has an interest in managing the operational & technical sides of executing color quality through the production stage.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Execute company-wide procedures and standards regarding color approval for production. Evaluate and comment on Print strike offs & some lab dips

• Ensures color cohesion and consistency across Family Prints in multiple fabrics

• Adhere to calendar deadlines for color submit review and partner with cross-functional teams, as needed

• Communicate with internal business partners to ensure quick processing and reduce production delays

• Maintain and organize physical & digital Color Libraries to ensure quick and accurate access for design teams & Print teams, including seasonal inventory and updates of all Library tools

• Manages data for physical and digital libraries on a seasonal ongoing basis

• Supports Color concept team with any palettes needs, including color naming of seasonal palettes

• Supports the CAD team by maintaining Print library board

• Assists in the distribution of seasonal Color standards to our GIS offices

• Assists Design/PD teams in selecting potential Library color matches as needed

• Collaborate on new ways to improve department performance and efficiency

• Any other duties or projects as assigned by Color Development Manager

 

Who You Are:

• Textile, color analysis, and/or color theory experience preferred

• Strict attention to detail; organized and follows consistent processes to ensure quality

• Ability to accomplish tasks within tight timelines

• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well independently

• Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to change with eagerness to learn and demonstrate resilience

• Creative problem solving skills

• Comfortable learning new systems and processes with a hands-on approach

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively interact with cross- functional teams

• Proficient in MS Office skills: Outlook, Word, OneDrive, Power Point; Intermediate or advanced expertise in MS Excel

• Some knowledge of PLM system preferred, and/or comfortable and proficient with managing complex data

• Some proficiency with Adobe Illustrator preferred

• Color perception test required for qualification
