Job description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate financial records: Record and classify financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Reconcile bank statements: Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
3. Generate financial reports: Prepare and distribute financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as requested by management.
4. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and follow up on outstanding payments or overdue invoices.
5. Process payroll: Accurately calculate and process employee payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Ensure compliance: Stay up to date with relevant financial regulations and ensure compliance in all financial activities.
7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.
8. Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and present findings to management.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
2. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Bachelor's degree In finance preferred
