24 Seven is partnering with their globally recognized American heritage Retail Company to help them find a Color and Fabric Specialist to join their team in this hybrid position based in Portland, OR for a 3 month contract.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Print Color and Fabric Specialist is responsible for ensuring color integrity across multiple product categories. Manages color throughout the development cycle from inception to final production.

This position also assists the Design team in developing final CAD artwork for outside print and non-wool yarn dyes. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Surface / Textile Design, and works closely with the Materials Team, Product Development, Merchandising / Design, and Quality Assurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Maintain physical lab dips and color standard library including set-up, maintenance, and distribution of standards to resources.
• Review color submissions against standard and follow up with internal stakeholders and outside resources in a timely manner.
• Create / maintain / update color tracking records and communicate statistical data both internally and externally.
• Work closely with Merchandising / Design, Development and Sourcing to ensure successful product execution, color consistency, and adherence to development timelines.
• Work collaboratively to identify and implement efficiencies in color approval process.
• Develop vendor partnerships and capabilities around best practices to meet quality and timeline objectives.
• Create CADs and detailed artwork packages and send to outside resources for handloom development.
• Work with Surface Designer to create detailed print artwork packages to send to vendors for strike-off development.
• Set up and add new colors within Blue Cherry FTA and Color Master, including at the style and fabric/yarn level.

CORE EXPECTATIONS 
• Print development and repeat experience
• Technical understanding of textile coloration techniques / limitations: dyeing & finishing
• Knowledge of color theory, fabric design, and textile manufacturing
• Strong sense of aesthetic and excellent taste level
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with others in a team setting
• Broad knowledge of the fashion industry and PWM’s brand position
• Must work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to adapt to changing processes with positive attitude

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Design or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in apparel color
• Mill experience a plus

SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced skill with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Proficient with MS Outlook and Office Suite
• Experienced with PLM systems
