MKT Marketing Communications Administrator

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (8 hours/day)
Solventum is seeking a highly skilled MKT Marketing Communications Consultant to support our growing portfolio of external customer communications. In this freelance role, you will independently plan, coordinate, and execute technically sound communications projects that advance functional business objectives, support organizational plans, and protect and strengthen Solventum’s brand.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Work under minimal supervision to create and execute collaborative communication plans targeted to external customer audiences.
- Intake, assess, and prioritize communication requests; define scope, timelines, audiences, key messages, approvers, and distribution methods.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, monitoring progress and adjusting timelines and deliverables as needed.
- Produce communications deliverables that align with plan objectives and strategies, incorporating input from subject matter experts and business partners.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant policies, brand standards, and approval workflows.
Planning & Measurement
- Plan and deliver communications projects of increasing complexity that support functional and organizational business plans.
- Apply strong business acumen to ensure communications are aligned with business needs, customer expectations, and brand strategy.
- Proactively recommend modifications to communication plans based on evolving requirements and performance insights.
- Measure, analyze, and report on project results; provide tactical and emerging strategic recommendations based on data.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a key partner to assigned business areas by listening to requirements, understanding processes and products, and translating them into effective communications.
- Lead and manage weekly Portfolio Customer Communication projects, including:
- New Product Introduction (NPI) launches
- Product phase in/phase out communications
- System or process change notifications
- Pricing and commercial updates
- Drive end-to-end execution of these initiatives, including drafting content, coordinating reviews, incorporating updates, managing approvals, and scheduling releases.
- Provide clear, proactive project updates and status reporting to business teams and leaders.
- Take ownership for identifying and resolving communications issues for assigned projects.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Actively participate in daily team meetings, sharing current work, risks, and dependencies, and offering support to peers during periods of high volume.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in:
- Business Administration
- Customer Service
- Marketing or Marketing Communication
- Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or Mass Communication

Experience: 4–7 years of directly relevant experience in marketing communications, customer communications, or a closely related field.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive working relationships.
- Customer-first mindset and an understanding of how communications impact customer experience.
- Continuous improvement orientation, with the ability to identify process gaps and propose actionable solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of communication processes and technologies, including digital and email-based tools.
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Eloqua or similar marketing automation platforms
- Adobe Workfront or similar project/work management tools
- English language fluency; no additional language requirements.
