Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the UK Operations Manager, this role delivers high-level administrative and organisational support for the Business Affairs team in the UK.
• Working closely with other internal teams (finance, studios, legal, merchandising, marketing etc.) to ensure timely communication of status across multiple projects. Key tasks include:
• Requesting manuscripts and managing updating of internal contract data systems
• Running regular reports on upcoming releases missing manuscripts and chasing expected dates
• Maintaining communication with production and processing teams on date changes and updating internal production system with relevant metadata information
• Requesting invoices at point of signature, raising Purchase Orders across multiple agreements, chasing payments and resolving payment issues
• Setting up new accounts, facilitating onboarding and tax processes
• Creating service agreements for external publishing contributors
• Scheduling, tracking and managing external contractors and their work output
• Managing relationship with external editorial editorial company
• Coordinating regular statement reporting to key partners

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience of production/project management of multiple projects in a media environment (ideally audio or related).
• Proven understanding of the production process
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Impeccable people skills in terms of maintaining internal relationships and fostering external ones
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience of financial software including Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with a wide range of genres (romance, historical, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, contemporary, crime, thrillers, comedy etc.)
• A knowledge and/or understanding of digital storytelling trends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A demonstrable passion for and understanding of all aspects of storytelling and factual programmed making, combined with production and/or project management experience within an audio related environment (radio, podcast, music etc.) or the media industry more generally (book film, theatre, television etc.)
• An understanding of digital content services (either download to own and/or streaming) would be a bonus
