Overview:

The core responsibility of this position is to create compelling stories, concepts, headlines, and longform copy as part of the marketing function. Specifically, as a staff writer/editor, you can take a complicated piece of technology or software, create a compelling audience-focused hook, and make it sound simple and inspiring while adhering to the Content Style Guidelines - free from grammar and spelling errors.

Your critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills come in handy, as we are operating within the agile strategic frame-working process. For any given product launch, campaign, or marketing initiative, you may participate in strategic framing or brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for websites, video scripts, guerrilla marketing, event graphics, or Keynote presentations — anything goes. Your role often requires managing vendors, such as freelance writers, public relations firms, research partners, or other marketing communications-related businesses.

You display executive presence and demonstrate effective communications, both verbally and in writing. You present work to team members, Directors, and Executives in powerful and convincing ways, and you become a role model for communications to the larger team, and to our external partners. In addition to writing and editing mastery, you also demonstrate stellar organizational skills with juggling multiple projects, deadlines, agile processes, approvals, and budgets - all while maintaining the high quality standards set by you and your team. With your meticulous attention to detail, you consistently produce high-quality content with minimal approval cycles, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and learn from feedback and constructive criticism, because this is how you are pursuing excellence.

 

Copywriter Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in English

· 3-5 years’ Copywriting experience

· Knowledgeable of basic copyediting and grammar rules

· Excellent grammar, communication, and detail-oriented skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

· Excel at breaking down complex content into concise, easily digestible, and thoughtful copy

· Keen eye for detail, with scrupulous proofreading and copyediting skills
