The role
We are looking for a motivated Digital Design Director to join our Brand experience team.
As a passionate creative thinker, you’ll be supporting and working closely with clients, Creative Director and the wider experience team to bring together brand strategy, business goals and user insight, to deliver beautifully crafted, category defining, brand experiences.
Our work is diverse in sector and nature and so we are looking for someone who is comfortable and excited at working across channels, someone who takes an integrated ecosystem view of brand experience. You will be working principally across, Digital service design, Digital product design and Digital communications, designing innovative solutions for Mobile, Web and Desktop Applications for customers and employees.
As Design director you will work closely with a Creative director, generating product vision ideas and be responsible for developing the vision into a deliverable solution through Experience visualisation inc; Customer journeys, Prototyping, UI design, Motion & Animation, Content design and UI build guides.
You are part of a team
We take an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to our projects therefore you will be supported by peers in Research, Strategy, UX, Content and Technology in the design and development of digital solutions. Working closely with our client’s team in a co creation dynamic, either in our studio, client side or remotely.
Your key skills
As a creative leader you will be a skilled storyteller and presenter, able to communicate your concept and take the team and client with you on the journey.
You will be hands on in approach to setting the creative direction through a range of techniques, including Workshops, Journey mapping, Prototyping, Visual and Verbal positioning and design. But you will also be equally skilled at delegating and inspiring your team to deliver the solution.
Full role and responsibilities
Leadership and management
Building client relationships, support and in some cases lead client creative presentations.
Guide, inspire and nurture your team and clients with relevant thinking that’s insightful, fresh and challenging
Supervise, mentor, motivate, and manage the performance of the creative team (Senior/Mid/Junior designers to ensure the overall efficiency of the day-to-day progression
Demonstrate a continuous commitment to proactively developing ideas and opportunities for brands, clients and projects
Key skills and experience
Strong knowledge of UI/ UX / User-Centred / CX Design
Previous experience in translating brands (existing and new) into digital experiences
Understanding for how emergent (Voice, Chatbot, VR / AR / MR) technologies can enhance solutions and experiences
Strong understanding and experience of various practices to deliver digital solutions (e.g. Design Systems, Atomic Design)
Applications and software
Essential:
Proficient in of Adobe Creative programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficient in Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD
Collaboration tools such as Miro, Teams and Zoom.
Show familiarity with prototyping tools such as InVision, Marvel and Principle
Demonstrate clear working knowledge and understanding of best practice
user experience and accessibility standardsDisplay strong working knowledge of word-processing (Microsoft Office) and presentation software including Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint
Nice to have:
Experience in video production and motion design, especially After Effects
An understanding of HTML and CSS
