Digital Marketing Manager, Beauty

Location: Remote (occasional travel to NJ)
Salary: 130-135K+

Our client, an independent Black-Owned and operated beauty brand is seeking a Director/Senior Manager of Digital Marketing who will own performance marketing and acquisition marketing for the brand. The client is open to full-time direct hire or contract to start.

In this role you will:

• Plan digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media advertising, Affiliate marketing, SMS and more. You will also be responsible for managing the Shopify site and should be hands-on with the platform. 

• Develop and optimize SEO and SEM, as well as keyword-rich content strategy.

• Effectively leverage social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, SEO and SEM, company blog and site content, as well as digital advertising campaigns to increase new customers, site visits, conversions, and reduce CPA

• Create Email calendars with clear briefs. Must give clear creative direction, copy and exciting email titles. Work closely with UX / graphics designer to help bring web banners, email templates, etc. to live.

• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) weekly.

• Identify beauty trends, insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.

• Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies with the team.

• Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests on all marketing channels and platforms.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.

• Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.

• Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners to meet goals and critical deadlines.

• Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

• Responsible for Setting up, Approving and Directing Google creatives and Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Tik Tok, Pinterest, etc.

• Work Closely with the finance team to plan monthly budgets for digital marketing and ad spend.

• Track competition must have an in-depth awareness and knowledge of beauty trends, site experiences and beautiful storytelling initiates to help keep the brand vision alive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or a related field

• Marketing/online/electronic media experience (includes knowledge of HTML, social media, Ad words, and SEO), experience in a Beauty Marketing

• Commissioning content for e-commerce distribution, Shopify website store management and design, and media planning, Google Analytics or other web analytics platform

• An understanding of the latest innovations and trends in e-commerce media relevant in the recruitment marketing space

• Strong conceptual, strategic, and analytical skills, including the ability to quickly analyze data from disparate sources across multiple industries to identify key insights and apply them to the business

• Takes initiative to build rapport, establish e-commerce-specific plans, and achieve/exceed sales goals

• Ability to manage down, across, and up internally and externally

• Ability to clearly define a problem and synthesize data to drive fact-based insights and develop clear, thoughtful, and risk-taking activations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Shopify and internet applications is required
