Digital Planner Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities as Digital Planner will span across five key areas: Media Negotiating and Buying, Digital Media Strategy, Campaign Management and Execution, Reporting & Analysis, and Relationship Management.

 

  • In charge of RFP creation including handling partner negotiations, proposal analysis, and partner/ site responses.
  • Collaborate with activation teams during planning process, and work in tandem with internal departments regarding 360 partnerships and relevant extensions.
  • Strategize with assistant/ senior planners and supervisors to plan development.
  • Actively contribute during kickoff brainstorms for plan development and consideration set.
  • Reserve advertising space with particular attention to accuracy and proper protocol of insertion orders, plan details, and confirmation of delivery.
  • Work in sync with Paid Social team to manage and monitor activations across social media platforms.
  • Use company’s set of in-house planning, evaluation, and buying tools to analyze the competitive landscape and target digital consumption support for plan development and reporting.
  • Keep track of trends to identify tools and new digital opportunities for applications in biddable environments in conjunction with performance teams.
  • Create presentations on media plans, objectives and strategies, and other relevant functions.
  • Track digital campaign performance via trafficking and site tagging, and QA all pixels to ensure sites are enabled and functioning properly.
  • Confirm issue of spec documents and other necessary materials from creative agencies.
  • Oversee post launch information compilation of campaign to demonstrate proof of placement for customers (links, screenshots, placement information, etc).
  • Handle post campaign reconciliation and billing with assistant planner.
  • Create weekly reports on biddable and direct channel performance, and identify optimization opportunities and challenges.
  • Analyze large datasets to draw educated conclusions and find actionable implications.
  • Work with Analytics & BI teams to aggregate data and apply standardization across accounts.
  • Provide accurate and valid data for dashboards and Excel trackers per account.
  • Work with Senior Planner and Supervisor to problem solve and track status of deliverables, and stay engaged with internal departments to progress projects smoothly.
  • Create and follow best practices to grow interpersonal relationships with customers.
  • Mentor junior team members and help self-development.

 

Digital Planner Requirements:
 

  • 1-2 years of experience in digital media.
  • Proficient knowledge of data analytics and performance media.
  • Understanding of marketing principles, analytics and concepts.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with regards to media planning processes.
  • Experience working with third party ad servers, and demonstrated understanding of biddable channels and partner direct.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative mindset with interest in digital media trends.
