Director - Digital Ad Sales




The Director, Digital Ad Sales is responsible for developing and executing new business opportunities. The Director is tasked with securing digital sponsorships with brands directly and/or through their media buying agencies for daily newsletters, digital display, mobile and web offerings. We are looking for a true hunter whose goal is to maximize sales, profits, and visibility by targeting mainly B2C companies. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced salesperson with extensive contacts in the digital ad buying space looking to excel in a high-energy, competitive start-up environment.


*Important - due to COVID19, the Director will be hired and onboarded virtually and will WFH until WFH is lifted.


Key Responsibilities :

?     Proactively identify, prospect and pursue new business to achieve revenue targets

?     Continuously build sales pipeline and close deals

?     Meet and exceed revenue quotas

?     Provide accurate forecasting to sales management

?     Drive opportunities from inception to completion and manage the flow of projects

?     Deliver an exceptional experience to all clients and colleagues

?     Establish and maintain excellent customer relations, with both internal and external stakeholders

?     Assess, clarify and communicate customer needs to drive better customer service and satisfaction


Basic Qualifications :

?     Bachelor’s degree

?     5-7 Years experience in a sales capacity

?     Required - Minimum 5 yrs selling digital advertising solutions direct to brand, native or branded-sponsored content

?     Knowledge of digital ad-sales campaigns - email, mobile, and traditional display required

?     Existing relationships with Ad buyers and extensive relevant contacts

?     Experience selling direct sponsored content (*please don’t apply if you only have Programmatic ad sales experience)


?     Sales hunter, Entrepreneurial nature, flexible and relentless work ethic; Driven to succeed in a fast-paced, high growth environment

?     Expert relationship builder and deal closer

?     Track record of consultative and idea-based sales experience

?     History of gaining access to high-level decision-makers

?     Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of exceeding goals in a high-growth culture

?     Advanced project management skills, including handling multiple opportunities simultaneously, setting and meeting goals and efficient time management

?     Strong analytical skills
