Position Summary

The Director of ECommerce is responsible for creating, driving, and communicating a customer-centric view of the company's online experience with a robust and profitable marketing strategy for both the brand and retailer partner websites. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic ecommerce marketing plan for the company. Manages the development of the organizations website to optimize customer attraction and satisfaction. The Director of ECommerce is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the ecommerce business. This includes strategizing, budgeting, planning, and executing content plans, overseeing the generation of promotional materials and campaigns, monitoring performance analytics, website traffic and product performance, among other things. 

Responsibilities
• Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic ecommerce plan. 
• Oversee the ecommerce brand website of and retailer channels including amazon and Ulta
• Manage the overall user experience, including site navigation, content development in conjunction with the Marketing team, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns
• Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of an ecommerce strategy, working cross-functionally with teams to ensure QA and timely publishing of all web content
• Direct integrated campaigns that will deliver an increase in conversion rates, overall order size and managing margin performance across a variety of product lines
• Own and manage Internet marketing solutions, social media integration, SEO and other monitoring methodologies and analytics
• Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process optimization initiatives such as implementing ecommerce software and other industry best practices
• Identify new areas of ecommerce opportunity beyond current offerings
• Develop and forecast quarterly targets and inventory to meet our financial and operational goals
• Closely monitor plan performance and drive any necessary changes to meet or exceed targets
• Ongoing reporting and analysis on Amazon advertising campaigns with recommendations for optimization
• Plan and manage promotional and advertising activity
• Continuously drive online revenue growth by applying a clear understanding of the brand, consumers and industry trends to our online partner sites, merchandising, content, and business strategies
• Ability to effectively align and integrate ecommerce business strategies with overall strategic sales channel
• Play a key role in our go-to-market strategy and maintain a close relationship with the brand management and sales teams, representing the digital consumer and eCommerce efforts in the process
• Develop campaigns for new customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation programs to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand equity
• Define the ECommerce sales projections and build aggressive plans to drive growth and expand brand presence for the direct-to-consumer business on both brand and retailer partner websites (Ex. Amazon, Ulta, JCPenney’s)
• Identify and implement best practices and technologies in collaboration with the Director, Digital Design to optimize UX/UI on all platforms
• Own external ECommerce relationships with existing partners (Commerce, Digital Marketing, SEO, Email, Deliverability, and Google)
• Guide International teams on best practices for their digital platforms and online businesses
• Identify industry-leading resources for potential partnerships

• Understand the process of bringing products / brands onto the Amazon platform
 • Own new brand / product launches on Amazon
• Innovate, create, and execute on cross channel marketing initiatives across multiple brands to drive increased awareness and sales in retailer channels amazon / Ulta

Qualifications
 • 6 – 8+ years of experience driving and implementing B2C ECommerce & digital marketing initiatives, including merchandising & UX, email marketing, and paid media required
• 3 – 5+ years in a senior leadership role required
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Technologies or equivalent highly preferred
• Strong experience with SEO/SEM, google analytics, and CRM software
• Experience working with Amazon as a Vendor Partner
• Experience in Vendor Central
• Understanding of Amazon Marketing Services
• Proven ability to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new ecommerce strategies
