Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Home Merchandising to lead our home goods division. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of merchandising strategies for our home products, ensuring that our offerings are visually appealing, on-trend, and meet the needs and preferences of our target customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in merchandising, a deep understanding of the home goods industry, and strong leadership skills.
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy for the home goods division, in line with the overall business objectives.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the home goods industry.
3. Collaborate with product development teams to curate a diverse and compelling assortment of home products that meet customer demands and align with their brand image.
4. Manage the product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring that new products are introduced in a timely manner and aligned with market demands.
5. Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and visual merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
6. Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and optimize product assortment and pricing.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely delivery of products.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing merchandising team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies and achievement of revenue goals.
10. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and maintain the client’s position as a leader in the home goods market.
1. Bachelor's degree in merchandising, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the home goods industry.
