ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the combined influencer marketing strategy and PR strategies with a focus on driving brand awareness, increasing engagement and driving sales
- Define metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of team efforts across all channels and report-out monthly
Public Relations
- Oversee the PR calendar & strategy as it relates to the brand marketing calendar and company vision
- Engage with and manage our Public Relations agency as an extension of your own team to build:
- An always-on strategy that encompasses innovation, core products and brand experts/advocates
- Trade press: Establish brand founder as a thought leader within the hair industry and continuously create industry buzz for the brand.
- Experts: Expand our PRO program and establish our brand experts as the go-to for all things Hair Wellness
- Awards Submissions
- Eventing: ideate and execute a successful digital and in-person events that are unmissable for press, VIP and influencers alike
- Partnerships/ Influencers
- Establish a new approach to explode our brand awareness through a groundswell of paid and organic influencer partnerships across all social platforms, with a clear bias for TikTok
- Oversee strategy, campaigns and brand briefs to ensure that all influencer activations deliver against key objectives
- Identify key influencer partners for THE BRAND across multiple hair adjacent categories and cohorts (wellness, fitness, lifestyle, etc)
- Build community — from micro-influencers to mega, enable creators to discover THE BRAND and fall in love with the brand, culminating in compelling organic and paid content
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key contacts within the influencer space, and nurture your team to do the same
- Have a deep understanding for TikTok native creators and what makes successful, entertaining and/or educational content in partnership with brands
- Oversee Influencer team comprised of Organic, Affiliate, Liveselling and Paid Influencers
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the development of influencer strategies, helping to build campaigns that meet brand objectives
- Analyze Influencer campaign performance to provide valuable insights to key stakeholders, as well as to maintain internal benchmarks — revenue and awareness
- Maintain an understanding of influencer marketing landscape, staying on top of trends and implementing changes as needed
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 7+ years of experience across both influencer marketing and PR - beauty, hair preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred
- Experience working at innovative, fast-paced startups or indie/digital brands is a plus
- Adaptable, resourceful, and forward-thinking
- Experience effectively managing a PR Agency to drive always-on buzz and brand building
- Must be an excellent communicator, natural leader, team player
- Effectively translates complex ideas into simple pitches based on audience perspective and needs
- Creative & self-starting individual; must be agile and able to multi-task, manage complexity and problem solve on the fly and can personally organize and set priorities
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive others to meet deadlines
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, high integrity, and commitment to excellence
- Passion for storytelling, specifically in clean/wellness sector
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays
- Proven success leading cross-functional team, and processes
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Strong technical/ computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace
