Job description

Role Overview: The Director of Marketing will oversee the development and delivery of the brand marketing strategy to drive sales revenue, brand awareness and customer retention. This individual will assist with driving best-in-class marketing to build, expand and evolve the brand. The Director will report in directly to the VP of Brand and works closely with cross functional partners across sales/retail, content, PR and Influencer, and Design for best-in-class execution.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Build and execute a 360-degree marketing strategy to drive revenue growth and brand awareness
  • Work with Product Development team to lead new product launch messaging that is concise, benefit-driven, and consumer friendly
  • Oversee marketing calendar to effectively plan launch timelines and hero campaigns, and value-added moments
  • Own performance marketing channels; Lead relationship with paid social and affiliate agencies to continually optimize & drive ROI for the business.
  • Assist in refining customer segmentations through research and analysis
  • Analyze, refine, and improve campaigns to ensure programs deliver strong ROI
  • Manage marketing budget to drive increased efficiency
  • Drive creative to ensure implementation is aligned with overall strategic objectives
  • Manage brand partnerships and consumer sampling programs (inclusive of national sampling subscription boxes)
  • Stay current on beauty industry marketing and social media news, constantly testing new ideas and platforms
  • Communicate frequently with Retail & Sales team to ensure common understanding of proposed and executed activity, in addition to achievement of desired objectives
Qualifications: 
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 8 years marketing experience
  • High level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to different styles
  • Proven team building and leadership experience
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and financial skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Proven ability to lead a proactive organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives
  • Ability to convert strategic planning into tactical execution
  • Proven success in managing creative teams and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills; ability to guide projects from conception to fruition
