About the Role
As Director of Performance Marketing you are responsible for leading our paid customer acquisition strategy. In role you'll have the opportunity to grow and coach a team, wield mighty budgets, and be hands on driving execution from cross functional coordination through ad account management. You'll partner closely with teams across the Company including merchandising, analytics and creative. Working with the team you will marry our unique assortment, content and data to craft and place stories that truly inspire our audience.
 

Responsibilities:
Develop and iterate on a paid acquisition framework that provides for sustained new customer growth
Build and manage a small team of creative, analytical performance marketers
Conceptualize campaigns and placements in partnership with the broader creative, marketing and merchandising teams; develop a strong understanding of the business to harness our unique assortment and creative assets to your strategic advantage for customer acquisition and reactivation
Think strategically about the customer journey and paid placements throughout; make investment trade-off decisions across the funnel, prioritizing awareness through loyalty as appropriate; consider 'brand' focused investments through traditional performance channels
Hands on manage campaign spend in major channels like Facebook and Adwords
Manage, measure and report on paid performance across channels, in aggregate and in detail, calling attention to wins and misses that inform partner teams; truly understand and communicate performance from the standpoint of incrementality
Partner with data and analytics to institutionalize reporting that systematically generates insights; partner on detailed plans and forecasts
Report results weekly to the leadership team
Serve as the the key decision maker for media spend strategy; partner with finance on overall budget and recommend spend levels and strategic budget allocations needed to hit new customer and ROAS goals
Think globally: develop plans to continue healthy growth rates across the US, Canada, UK, EU and APAC
Develop new channel tests in order to grow channel marketing mix, for example in emerging channels such as Tiktok
 

Requirements:
7+ years in marketing, strategy, and/or analytics role
eCommerce and growth stage company experience highly preferred
Experience leading a team
Performance oriented and analytical, comfortable pulling and manipulating data
In channel experience including social channel/ad platform expertise
Excellent executive communication skills
