Client Overview:

Our client is a start-up biotechnology company that develops and manufactures innovative approaches to cosmetic and skincare products. They work to address the world’s most stubborn skin concerns and provide at-home alternatives to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, delivering precision needles and lasers through topically applied products.

 

Director Product Marketing Overview:

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and highly differentiated product positioning and messaging of new products, pricing, competitive analysis, and ongoing portfolio management.

 

Director Product Marketing Overview:

  • Drive the development of product marketing strategies – including consumer target, positioning, product packaging and pricing
  • Manage overall product portfolio – new introductions, existing products, upgrades, and animations to drive long term equity and growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners across R&D, Operations, Packaging Design, Clinicals, and Copy in the development and validation of all new products
  • Research and stay up to date on the competition, macro trends, technologies, ingredients, forms, and textures with a hyper focus on emerging trends in clinical procedures, as well
  • Work closely with renowned Founders and Scientists from the Biopharma and Clinical Skincare space
  • Develop innovative, highly differentiated product positioning and messaging – always with end consumer, Brand DNA, and in-market execution in mind
  • Responsible for all product fact sheets and being the internal expert for all product related matters and knowledge base for all Copy, Website Content, Social Media Content, and Customer Service
  • Work with Marketing, Operations, R&D, to progress new product development and ensure products are launched on time
  • Manage packaging design, copy, and artwork leveraging external freelance resources

Director Product Marketing Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant work experience in high performance skincare
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong technical expertise with deep knowledge of skincare, aesthetics, and skin physiology and biology
  • Must be extremely comfortable with true innovation and thrive in driving direction through ambiguity
  • Strong understanding or interest in clinical procedures
  • Global Experience, particularly Asia, a plus
  • Demonstrated innovative and operational skills. Both creative and analytical
  • Knowledge of Global Marketing principles and global consumer trends is essential
