Job description
Reporting into the VP of E-Commerce , North America, you will lead the Ecommerce Production team for your department, taking accountability for the content and online merchandising across your department. You will be working in partnership with the Trading team and collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure all customer journeys are optimized to offer the best balance of brand awareness, user experience and commerciality.This role requires in office expectations of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Main responsibilities
- Take ownership of the briefing, sign off and build process for site changes and new content, including all campaign, trade, promotional and information content in partnership with design group and VP of E-Commerce
- Define best practice around the weekly reporting process and lead on quarterly or ad hoc deep dives.
- Take accountability for data presented by the wider team, challenging accuracy as required.
- Ensure reporting is action led, and all actions are implemented.
- Advise trade on best practice to support conversations around customer journey and execution of onsite campaigns.
- Ensure all content is balanced to meet both commercial and brand requirements, delivering the best experience for the customer.
- Oversee product publication process, ensuring all processes are efficient. This includes including category selection, attribution, visual merchandising, internal search, facet and filters, recommendations and navigation. Proactively identify recurring issues with processes or tooling.
- Set seasonal merchandising guidelines in line with trading calendar and business priorities.
- Define seasonal strategy for categories and lifecycle including temporary and permanent redirects, working closely with to support new category launches and proposing alternative solutions where appropriate.
- Define customer journey and content suite for promos and key events, leading sign off sessions as required for high profile moments eg Black Friday or Holiday campaigns
- Work with the team to support on execution as required, including content, categories and promotional codes.
- Sign off on experience and functionality prior to go live.
- Establish partnerships with external suppliers and agencies, as well as teams across the business, including CRM, digital marketing, creative, SEO, translations, buying and merch.
- Work closely with the Merchandising Team
Tools of the Trade:
- Preferable to have come from a varied and hands on Ecommerce background, ideally retail.
- Demonstrate extensive experience with content management systems, product management systems and visual merchandising tools. Basic HTML skills useful but not essential.
- Competent with Excel and comfortable dealing with large data sets.
- Able to use information from multiple sources to make decisions.
- Highly organized and process-driven.
