The eCommerce Merchandiser is responsible for executing the merchandising strategy set forth by the eCommerce Senior Director and Merchandising Manager. This individual will be comfortable using reporting and the seasonal product delivery schedule to drive their workload. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, good at managing deadlines, and prioritizing their deliverables and passionate about eCommerce Merchandising. This role will support the merchandising vision and they will manage new flow of product onto site, own the accuracy and communication of product data, as well as support many other eCommerce selling related tasks.

 

Essential Functions & Competencies of this Role:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

Own product data: manage and review merchandise presentation on site to ensure the categorization, imagery, product knowledge and pricing are accurate and meet brand guidelines.

Work closely with the demand planning and product merchandising teams to execute seasonal assortment strategies.

Follow and maintain the digital campaign calendar.

Collaborate with the photo studio to ensure there are no missing images on site and support where required with providing sample product to and from the studio for photoshoots.

Execute compelling product and seasonal stories.

Review daily and weekly merchandising reports, understand where the revenue is coming from and what are the key performing products on site.

Understands key KPI’s to include how to calculate and the impact a merchandiser makes on those respective metrics (Revenue, Traffic, AOV, CVR, Weeks on Site (WOS), sell through, UPT, traffic to page, placement on page)

Consistent, daily maintenance of the online store across both the Shift US and CA sites and tactically execute on predefined merchandising strategies and KPI objectives.

Maintain assortment plans to track all product-related activities.

Manage new flow process of products to the site, tracking and organizing all product assets to guarantee products are live on time.

Track inventory, communicating delays and shortages to mitigate the business impact.

Must be a self-starter who is curious and passionate about product data and analytics.

 

Work Environment:

This job is a hybrid position, operating in/out of the corporate office in Irvine.

 

Physical Demands:

Sitting for long periods of time.

Significant manual dexterity for keying in data for long periods of time.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.

 

Expected Hours of Work:

 

Must be available to work occasional off-hours.

Must be available during standard business hours.

 

Travel:

This position generally has no travel.

 

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, eCommerce, Accounting, or a related field of study.

3-5 years digital experience in merchandising, buying, or planning; apparel experience a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.

Experience with Google Analytics required.

Experience with a PM tool such as JIRA/Confluence or Asana on campaign planning.

Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), Hybris or Shopify a plus.

A quick study on systems. Experience working across tools, ERP, site platform, Yotpo, GA, etc.

Should be a curious, motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules.

Must be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines and able to prioritize.

Be organized and a team player.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
