Employee Relations Specialist -

This is an ER Specialist position for our growing AMER team. Member of broader People Services & Operations department, which functions as HR shared services.

- The Specialist tier is comprised of teams that interface with various COEs: Employee Relations (ER), Leave of Absence (LOA), Benefits, Talent Development, & Data. Ultimately have line of sight of the broader HR function.

- Work is dedicated in Employee Relations space. The ER Specialist team is very much the first entry point to ER. This role works ER cases, and provides primarily leader support.

- Work across 5 main work streams

- performance management (aka coaching & PIP processes) (this is bread & butter, with high # of cases), workplace accommodation (for US & Canada), general policy guidance (guide on all the various ques/concerns that proceed investigation work), compliance, LATAM probation mgmt.

- Work in deep partnership with ER Managers & ER Consultants Develop operational process improvement to scale the dept. globally Serve all N. & S. Amer employees, across all business units.

- Excellent way to get to know the various depts and functions of the company. Ideal role for HR professional looking to fine tune ER experience Employee Relations experience, even if just a % of the role in a Generalist capacity

- should understand the concept of assessing risk Understanding of applying employment laws, like FMLA/ADA Strong communication skills, with ability to influence across multiple stakeholders and multiple levels of seniority Empathic approach and ability to problem solve & think outside of the box

- Highly organized, able to manage high case load and work towards tailoring internal processes

 

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

-Provide guidance and direction to employees and managers regarding company HR policies and procedures that champions the company’s vision, values and culture.

-Recommend effective solutions for addressing workplace concerns and escalate as applicable to Employee Relations Managers for further investigation.

-Support business partners on employee inquiries by interpreting policies and providing consistent practices

-Maintain accurate, timely, and required documentation of activities to ensure quality employee records and metrics.

-Collaborates with other centers of excellence such as Employee Relations, Benefits, and Talent Development.

-Routinely exercises judgment within broadly defined policies and practices.

-Recommends or takes appropriate actions to address concerns as needed

. -Create and implement internal team procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

-Exercise sound judgment and expertise within broadly defined policies and practices.

-Consult and build relationships with all levels of operational management and ES team members.

 

*JOB REQUIREMENTS*

-Minimum 2-3 years of experience consulting on human resources policies and processes with employees and managers

-Prior experience as an HR Generalist; prior Employee Relations experience ideal

-Prior experience in a centralized HR department or shared services organization preferred

-Experience with workplace accommodation case management and knowledge of FMLA and ADA preferred

-Experience with case management systems and Workday preferred

-Ability to manage a high volume of employee cases

-Experience applying company policies and procedures

-Strong conflict resolution skills

-Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment

-Strong professional verbal and written communications

-Bachelor's degree required
