Our client a software company is looking for an Event Marketing Specialist to join their team

Hybrid in Irvine, onsite 3 days per week
Full time (direct hire) but open to contract to hire as well

Summary
The Event Marketing Specialist, with a focus on event management, is responsible for the planning, management & execution of in-person as well as virtual events such as conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars and user group meetings.
Working closely with the marketing team and local/regional leadership, the position additionally provides support of all marketing-related activities and is responsible for ensuring understanding and adherence to the company's marketing and communications policies, procedures, practices, and protocols while supporting the tactical marketing objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, manage and execute events:
•             Trade shows, conferences, seminars
•             Webinars and other virtual events
•             Internal events
•             User group meetings
•             Work with marketing leadership to understand and develop event strategy and desired outcomes
•             Analyze success based on ROI, pre-determined metrics, and survey results
•             Manage contractors, vendors, schedules, and budgets associated with event execution
•             Communications: email & social media, SEA campaigns, and promotions
•             Evaluate surveys, summaries, and recommendations for improvement
Collateral & literature / Promotional items:
•             Provide recommendations and manage inventory
•             Brochures, fact sheets: manage content creation, approval and print process

Qualifications
•             2-3 years marketing/marketing communications experience
•             3-5 years' experience planning and managing conferences and tradeshows
•             Excellent project management skills
•             Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
•             Critical thinking, problem solving, and analysis is a must
•             Communication skills: proficiency in verbal and written communication
•             Interpersonal skills: capability to work in a team environment, meeting and collaborating with a variety of departments and team members
•             Expert level of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•             Microsoft SharePoint and CRM are a plus
Education
•             BS/BA required in marketing, communication or related field
•             Additional qualifications, but not required:
•             PMP Certification
