24 Seven is teaming up with a large lifestyle and apparel company based in Portland, OR to help them find a Footwear Designer to join their team in fully REMOTE position. This is a 3-4 month contract working 40 hours week. There is potential to convert to a fulltime salaried position. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick time and more.The Ideal Candidate: will have 5+ years of footwear design experience within the performance category
Responsibilities:
- Designing Innovative and High-Performance Footwear: Develop cutting-edge footwear designs that align with brand guidelines and cater to consumer needs for technical performance.
- Creating Detailed Illustrations and Tech Packs: Craft illustrations and tech packs for new footwear concepts, encompassing design elements, materials, and specifications following brand guidelines.
- Implementing Brand Vision and Product Direction: Collaborate closely with the Director to bring the brand's vision and design language to life in the footwear collection.
- Project Management for Timely Product Delivery: Manage multiple footwear design projects from conception to final product, ensuring adherence to deadlines and schedule.
- Collaborating with Footwear Development and Product Line Management Teams: Work closely with the development and Product Lifecycle Management teams to design footwear that meets product briefs while achieving target cost parameters.
- Collaborative with great communication skills, especially cross-functionally
- Innovative thinker with great ideas, technical skills and passion for footwear
- Enthusiasm for the brand; drive to succeed; resourceful
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, footwear design, product design
- 5+ years footwear design experience ideally within the performance category
