Digital Asset Manager Overview
Our client, a leading skincare brand, is looking for a Digital Asset Manager to design, execute, and manage the infrastructure of their new digital asset management (DAM) system. This includes all digital assets (images, videos, and audio) created and used by the Global Creative Team and the Global and International Marketing and Digital Teams.
Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities
- Working with Creative Project Managers, develop accurate, descriptive, and consistent nomenclature within company guidelines (as applicable)
- Maintain a library of fully tagged and accurately catalogued assets
- Tagging of metadata: Review auto generated tags for accuracy, ensure that each asset has the appropriate set of metadata tags, and verify that IPTC metadata is saved in the file
- Manage version control of assets so that the most up to date is what’s available
- Develop workflows & best practices for optimized ingestion/maintenance of assets
- Run metrics/reports on licensing and usage as well as incoming & outgoing assets
- Manage rights-management details (internal use only, stock-licensing agreements, talent usage, etc.)
- Support internal and external teams with critical and time-sensitive digital asset acquisition requests
Digital Asset Manager Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in digital asset distribution
- Fluency in data asset management, curation and archival structures
- Knowledge and experience within Data Asset Management (DAM) Systems
- Knowledge and experience with different types of media (photo, video etc.) as well as different file types
- Ability and flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and delivery
- Experience with MediaValet and Monday.com a plus
