24 Seven is partnering with one of our clients whom is a top globally recognized sportswear brand. Their team is looking for a Global Strategic Communications Manager to join.The Global Strategic Communications Manager will foster and cultivate relationships with key media. Not to be quoted as a spokesperson on the record unless authorized and trained by a manager. Organize and manage assigned projects and events. Participate in communications team idea generation. Work with manager to provide assistance to media on-site at special events, photo shoots, interviews and press conferences. Research, write and edit press releases, fact sheets, video packages and speaking points. Create and write PR plans; work with PR agencies and freelancers. Research media groups. Work with Communications manager / director to administer allocated budget. This includes invoicing; producing reports, working with finance and updating team on a regular basis.
Core competencies:
• Ability to write key messaging or stories, products, and/or initiatives
• Support both Global Comms managers by working across performance and lifestyle
• Assist at media events including sourcing product, attending cultural gatherings and arranging media opportunities on the ground
Day to day tasks:
• Manage weekly team agendas and gather individual updates
• Managing seasonal tools and templates to ensure strategic alignment across the team through Airtable and team calendars
• Own and drive global editorial calendar and cross functional alignment around storytelling cadence and supporting asset/channel distribution
• Responsible for managing various reoccurring Comms meetings with global and cross-functional counterparts
• Attend Global cross-functional meetings and provide recaps for broader team
Product Seeding / Media relations management:
• Manage media product requests and seeding efforts
• Manage media contact list database
– including information such as birthdays, sizes, interests, etc.
– and have a true understanding of the media landscape
• Place seasonal contract buys and manage those respective contracts and inventories once live
• Drive alignment across cross-functional seeding efforts and creative on elevated packaging
