JOB TITLE: Internal Communications Associate

JOB SUMMARY: Supports Communications and Marketing departments in all internal communications strategy and implementation. With supervision by Communications Director, develops and oversees all internal messaging, sales presentation tools, all-staff meetings, executive, departmental, and sales presentations, all-staff meetings and events, and the marketing calendar across our three textile and leather brands. The Communications Associate is responsible for shaping global brand presence across all internal communications channels and strategy. This person will work closely with the rest of the Communications and Marketing departments along with Media, Design, Product Management, and Sales. An ability to operate collaboratively and self-sufficiently in a highly creative environment across all levels of the organization is vital. As a design leader, our client frequently distinguishes themselves from the standard marketing playbook. To be successful, this position requires someone who can think independently, creatively, and strategically while anticipating audience reception. A sophisticated understanding of brand, a progressive approach to communications and marketing, a passion for design, and an elevated aesthetic sensibility are all essential. The role calls for someone who is at once a big-picture thinker, exceptionally organized, and detail-oriented. An ability to build relationships company-wide and manage them with tact is critical. Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills are a must.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·Significant writing and editing responsibilities; propose and develop original content for all internal communications including staff-wide announcements, presentations, sales and product training materials, etc.

·Ability to encourage, inspire and lead others through transition through thoughtful communications

·Interest in supporting an engaged corporate culture through dedication to people, excellence, and design

·Define, communicate, and implement brand standards for three textile and leather brands

·Organize regular meetings toward major launches across creative teams

·Develops and coordinates day-to-day employee-facing communications across a variety of tools and channels, including video, intranet, email, and other written and digital communications tools

·Collaborates with a variety of internal partners on the development and delivery of content, acting as a consultant to develop strong communications campaigns and effective messaging

·Works closely with leaders across the business to support their content and messaging needs

·Acts as the primary marketing liaison to our client's parent company, supports quarterly updates

·Prepares and edit routine and non-routine messages, reports, and presentation materials with the highest degree of finesse and accuracy

·Work closely with all internal teams to collect relevant assets and information

·Build community and employee engagement through internal events and large-scale meetings. Project management duties may include developing strategies and milestones, planning and scheduling, logistics and support, invitation process, managing a team of contributors, and more

·Lead creation, updates, and distribution of all internal documents

·Lead product naming process for our client's three textile and leather brands.

·Maintain our design reference library, procure new titles for reference by creative teams.

RELATIONSHIP REPORTING: This position reports to the Communications Director.

CONTACTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION: This position has contact with internal departments and leads internal communication for three textile and leather brands within our client's parent company.

·Knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, writing, marketing, or related field

·3-7 years’ experience of experience creating and delivering corporate communications across multiple channels including print, email, digital and social tools

·Previous project management experience preferred

·Previous experience with executive messaging preferred

·Writing samples required
