Our publishing client has a Business Intelligence/Data Visualization Analyst role currently open as a direct hire full time position with great benefits. This role is responsible to build dashboards, self-service tools, and reports that analyze and present data associated with customer experience, product performance, business operations, and strategic decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with Product, Business and Marketing teams to capture requirements, influence end-state way we make decisions, and craft world class BI tools to support those partners.
- This position will influence upstream data model design, drive aggregate definitions, and develop your own data solutions as needed.
- Successfully bridge analytics and business, ability to speak the language of both. Provide coverage on ad-hoc analysis from diverse partners and automate those needs over time.
-Collaborates with business owners in Marketing, Sales and DCM to identify data analysis and visualization needs.
- Transforms client requests into data deliverables to include data models, data mappings and data transformation.
- Contributes to the development of project plans for data deliverables. Depicts moderately complex to complex ideas, issues and data designs to varied audiences.
- Contributes to the development of project plans and supports development team throughout project lifecycle including during test phase; researches test issues and data content and assists with moderately complex problem resolution.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of new standards and procedures for data acquisition and analysis.
- Integrates multiple data sources and condenses complex concepts and analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action.
- Identifies business opportunities based on data analysis.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience using data visualization tools like Power BI
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior-level decision makers
- Ability to multitask well
- Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
