Job descriptionKey Account Sales Manager
We are looking for a results-driven Key Account Sales Manager to help us meet our revenue growth targets. You will be responsible for selling products to key accounts, chain stores, and larger customers 70% of the time, and 30% of the time will be spent in a support role in which you will assist the Key Account Rep Groups with various sales related tasks.
We are looking for a self-starter with a proactive attitude. This candidate must have strong presentation skills, be able to manage relationships with an emphasis on excellence. The right candidate must be equipped with a high energy level for a fast-paced working environment, strong negotiation and prospecting skills. The candidate must be comfortable meeting Sales goals, be motivated to meet Sales requirements and participate in Sales planning. We are looking for a creative and independent individual to add value to our team.
Key Account Sales Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
-Identifies and pursues business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
-Sell products to existing key account customers and maintain relationships with existing partners by providing support, information, and guidance.
-Identifies product improvements or new hi-volume products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
-Collaborates with the product development team on bringing these solutions to customers when applicable.
-Assist Key Account Rep Groups with overall sales meeting preparation as needed.
-Manage new item set up and overall portal maintenance for Large and Key Accounts.
-Gain a solid understanding of the company’s reporting systems in order to pull data as needed for the Key Account Rep team.
-Manage and coordinate trade show efforts
-Domestic overnight travel as needed
-Maintain strong knowledge of best practices and trends in the industry
Key Account Sales Manager Key Qualifications:
-Proven work experience as a national sales representative with 2 to 3 years of experience
-Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
-Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
-Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
-Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
-Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
-Candidates must be able to travel extensively and on short notice
-Excellent knowledge of MS Office
-BS/BA degree or equivalent
