Job descriptionOur Client, a well known lifestyle brand is looking for a Logistics Analyst to help keep their logistics network operating at the highest level.
In this position you will help with responding to daily freight booking requests from freight companies with most effective and efficient shipping & routing instructions.
Work closely with other internal departments, including Order Management, Customs, and Foreign Trade Zone as needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation and necessary preparedness to realize timely arrival of supply chain product.
Collaborate with colleagues in Traffic department to help compile current and comprehensive transportation & supply chain relevant information’s and assist in issuing daily, weekly, and monthly internal reports and analysis.
Understand and approve scheduling, communicate shipping terms and delivery instructions.
Assist with the process of receiving Logistics service provider invoices via Medius Flow, validate and ensure transportation billed charges align to contracted carrier Rates, report billing errors and prepare validated billed charges for Traffic’s approval for PNA payment.
Communicate with internal departments and outside logistics service providers on matters related to reconciliation of potential open Statement of Account matters, required Credits, as well as, issuing Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) Claims.
Maintain both existing and ongoing newly required ‘General Shipping Instructions (GSI)’ and distribute accordingly.
Participate in expediting shipments as necessary and communicate the results accordingly.
Minimum of 2+ years of Logistics experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Understanding of US imports requirements and origin operations
Demonstrated ability to focus on detail and deadlines
A desire to help improve and streamline processes
Experience with Jesta software considered a plus
Time management, organization and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
