One of our marketing research agency clients is looking for a Market Research Manager to join their team for an exciting new role supporting a key healthcare client.

This Market Research Manager will be dedicated to a new 12-month research project for this healthcare client and responsible for leading a large-scale qualitative research study and project aiming to make the client more customer-centric in their service offerings.

The Market Research Manager should be passionate about consumer research, specifically qualitative research and associated responsibilities including survey/questionnaire development, interview guide development, focus group/interview moderation, and writing/reporting tied to market research reports.


Ideal Market Research Manager candidates will have:
- BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Social Sciences (Psychology, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology) or related field
- 3-7 years of marketing research experience focused in a variety of industries (healthcare/insurance preferred, but not required)
- Proven and well-rounded research skills - strong quantitative (statistical) and qualitative (analytical and report-writing) skills
- Experience with research approaches for surveying/interviewing consumers, staff, B2B audiences, etc. including telephone, online and mail methodologies
- Demonstrated engagement leadership skills including motivating team members, mentoring junior staff, collaboration skills, ability to take initiative, etc.
- Client facing experience including the proven ability to discuss and understand a client’s business and research objectives, build rapport and trusting relationship with clients, and remain responsive

Job & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Project manage complex engagements independently from start to finish
- Discusses complex business and research issues with clients independently
- Foster’s strong client loyalty through exceptional engagement execution and client service skills as well as the ability to discuss complex issues with clients independently
- Create analysis plans for moderately complex studies
- Finds data that matters, make sense of the information and convey the story in a compelling way
- Adopts and applies the storytelling process and is able to create impactful deliverables on moderately complex engagements and is able to present out in a clear, concise and influencing way
- Ability to generate additional business by building client trust, through exceptional client service skills
- Understand clients’ businesses, as well as objectives, and offer strategic suggestions and value-added consulting
- Effectively oversee the financial goals and profitability of an engagement
- Successfully lead internal team and aid in the development of employees by setting expectations, delegating work appropriately, and holding others accountable 
- Provide internal and client training in various research methodologies, and provide research recommendations to clients
- Successfully lead/partner with others in raising level of work – i.e. provide inspiration, set clear expectations
- Demonstrate genuine sensitivity, support and encouragement for others with consistent professional maturity
