Merchandiser
 
Role Overview:

The role of the Merchandiser is to support the merchandising team in the execution of the seasonal product strategies throughout the development process for all categories and provide accurate and consistent administrative support to the team. This candidate will liaise with cross functional teams to prepare assortments for market and analyze productivity of assortments post market. The candidate will function as a knowledgeable resource on all product related details within the organization.

Merchandiser Roles and Responsbilities:
• Pull selling reports to analyze weekly, monthly, & seasonal data
• Conduct market research and provide competitive analysis on price points, silhouettes, & fabric
• Analyze sales and market trends for lineplan creation
• Assist in seasonal line planning process
•Initiate and maintain seasonal system setup
• Monitor seasonal development counts
• Communicate all design/production changes to organization
• Liaise with Product Development in style management to ensure accuracy of data input from development to market • Build and maintain seasonal merchandising line sheets across all categories 
• Assist during line opening and throughout market on all administrative duties relating to training, market support, and preparation of selling materials
• Liaise with sales regularly to promote understanding of future market opportunities
• Support in the creation and distribution of all product knowledge materials • Hindsight market results seasonally

Merchandiser Key Qualifications:
• 3-4 years of merchandising experience in contemporary, mass market, or luxury fashion
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree in relevant field
• Strong analytical skills; well versed in Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly organized, detailed oriented, with excellent communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong product sense and enthusiasm for merchandising and women’s fashion
• Knowledge of RLM and Joor a plus
