Operations Manager Role Overview:

Reports directly to the COO. The Operations Manager is responsible for constant oversight and critical analysis of the company’s various departments (E-commerce, Customer Service, social media, Product, Quality Control, Logistics/Inventory, Warehouse, etc.) with a focus on organizational, operational, and budgetary efficiency. Experience using Netsuite and Shopify+ is preferred.

 

Operations Manager Roles and Responsibility:

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Constantly observe, report on, and implement improvements in various departments’ operations under the direction of the COO On-demand audits of various departments’ operations as needed
  • Identify opportunities for time and cost savings across departments Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and processes that promote executional efficiency as well as time and cost effectiveness
  • Perform root cause analysis from workflow stops, continuous problems, or potential issues and implement changes to improve the process Assist COO with tracking budgets and schedules for various projects (across departments) and ensure that related AP and AR is being accurately recorded and acted on in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to the COO and other senior staff as appropriate, including: collecting/collating various types of data/information into reports/summaries for departmental meetings and other internal communications, reading and redlining contracts with vendors, and accurate record-keeping and project managing (budget and schedule) for various internal projects (software implementations, renovations, etc.)
  • Constant research for new vendors and products for various departments' needs (software, hardware, security, authentication, reporting, transportation, storage, warehousing, fulfillment, packaging, etc.)
  • Team building: Identifying, crafting, hiring, and training new roles needed to improve the various teams’ functions and grow operational capacity Oversee customer experience operations to ensure customer satisfaction, speed of issue resolution, and retention Keep abreast of industry trends, evaluate competition, and attend major market events
  • Well-developed ability to work with contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople to work with compliance agencies and utility agencies/companies

 

Operations Manager Skills& Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, project management, warehouse management, or related field
  • Experience working with apparel and accessories, or other textile products is preferred Full time availability to work in our NJ offices (Monmouth County)
  • Ability to work remotely if needed Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills Excellent time and resource management skills as well as organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
  • Aptitude for anticipating problems before they occur and rapid decision-making
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and operate nimbly across departments
  • Strong track record of high integrity, good judgment, confidentiality, and discretion Fluency in
  • Excel/Google Suite, experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is preferred Flexible and agile learner able to adapt to the changing needs of the company Self-motivated and self-directed with continuous desire to learn and grow
