Photo Stylist Overview:
The Photo Stylist uses strong conceptualization and design skills to create effective shot composition, set development, product styling, and propping to highlight product features and benefits with flawless execution to achieve strategic advertising and merchandising objectives.
Photo Stylist Responsibilities
- Styling product on mannequins for eCommerce, catalog, and social media.
- Research and recommend locations for each photoshoot
- Prepare photoshoot areas using appropriate props, backdrops, and lighting
- Work with the Production Design Manager to implement current styling trends that elevate products and increase sales
- Working closely with art directors to execute on the right mood and direction for shoots
- Maintain organization of visual asset storage areas and coordinate movement of assets as needed for photoshoots
Photo Stylist Key Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years related on-set experience
- Strategic thinker who can anticipate needs and challenges related to photo styling logistics before they arise and put a plan in place
- Strong knowledge of the social media and marketing landscape
- Sharp aesthetic, with an eye for composition, color and set design
- Ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously with a confident and positive attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of product and prop styling
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
