Our Client is the world’s leading growth marketing company is looking for a Product Designer to help our small design team build a modernized next generation platform. You’ll be working with Product and Engineering to design features from concept to execution. Product Designer
About You
You’ll bring 2-3 years of prior experience designing, prototyping, and shipping SaaS business web applications. You’ll also have a growth mindset, always positive attitude, and a relevant degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, HCI or other related field or equivalent work experience.
You’re comfortable with:
- Communicating in both the written form and verbally
- Interviewing end users and customers to refine problem statements and ensure solutions meet their needs and are usable
- Defending design decisions based on industry best practices
- Owning a project from beginning to end
- Being self-directed and seeking clarification from stakeholders when needed
- Anticipating the different UI states that need to be designed
- Partnering with Engineering to ensure your designs are implemented as intended
- Offering and accepting design feedback to improve your work and the work of the team
You have an online portfolio that demonstrates:
- How you approach design challenges by describing your design process
- Delivering detailed mockups with sound fundamental UI skills and it shows in your decisions about layout, color, iconography, and typography
- Establishing visual hierarchy
- Applying a design system
- Designing digital experiences and workflows in B2B products
- Understanding accessibility and technical feasibility at a basic level
You’ll really catch our attention if you:
- Have 3+ years of experience
- Employ a user-centered design process that results in applying customer insight to your work
- Are comfortable building prototypes with HTML5, CSS and some lightweight JavaScript
- Can write effective UI copy (instructions, system feedback, micro copy, etc.)
- Have a design specialty that elevates your skillset beyond expected deliverables:
- Creating or maintaining a design system and pattern library
- Creating or maintaining a symbol library in Sketch
- Developing and executing research plans and synthesizing your findings
- Interaction design
- Motion design
- Illustration skills
