Job description

 Position Summary

The Product Development Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in managing the day-to-day needs of the team, ranging from calendar and travel management to cataloguing vendor product submissions and tracking PR comps.

 

Administrative Responsibilities

• Responsible for creation and maintenance of an organized physical library including all project lab masters, PPS samples, vendor comps and submits

• Manage sample product receipt and shipping

• Manage team’s master calendar of events (tradeshows and vendor travel) and ensure schedules are cohesive

• Prep and organize for vendor meetings

 

Product Development Responsibilities

• Manage product feedback process – sending test product out, collecting feedback and analyzing responses as needed to help optimize formulas

• Initiate Code and PO creation in partnership with US Development & Merchant team

• Track, organize and distribute PR comps prior to launch

• Develop competitive trend and brand landscape analyses

• Develop and assemble color cosmetic trend reports and tradeshow recaps

• Assist with proof-reading of all primary and secondary artwork for printing

• Responsible for staying abreast of the competitive market by researching beauty trends, comp shopping and purchasing/present compelling competitive and relevant color cosmetic products Provide general product development support to teams as needed (Quality, Product Marketing & Product Development)

 

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Must have a college degree with 2-3+ years work experience preferable in highly organized/ administrative positions

• Ideal candidate has beauty experience and/or passion and excitement for the beauty category

• Must be extremely detail oriented as well as flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints

• Be a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit

• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc
