Project Manager, Product Development

Client Overview:

Our client is a tech-meets-skincare brand offering a full-spectrum suite of breakout-fighting products that service the millennial market and beyond. In their two years of life, they've experienced rapid growth through .com, wholesale and retail channels, with several exciting products launched in 2021 with ambitious sales targets to match.

We are looking for an engaged and motivated Project Manager to join the Product Development team. Reporting to the VP of Product Development, this position will be critical in managing key processes within development milestones, and optimizing overall project flow and timing.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Product Development team to set up project scope, timing, milestones and deliverables for all active programs
  • Track individual timing and overlap of elements within product development – formulation, packaging, testing, artwork, industrialization
  • Partner with team to drive product development processes in both creative and technical formulation and packaging design development
  • Manage and track formula evaluation, feedback, redirects and approvals with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Support in vendor communication and follow ups tracking to key dates and deliverables
  • Support in management of product testing with external labs and consultants, tracking results at select intervals
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams to kick off and manage artwork process and approvals
  • Manage consumer testing process, including support in writing of surveys, sample send outs, follow ups, and overall reporting
  • Support in research on competitive landscape and consumer reviews, analysis and evaluation
  • Support in product benchmarking process and testing
  • Manage documentation and reports for technical milestones and industrialization
  • Manage Quality approvals and standards for internal and external partners
  • Manage internal alerts on risk and timing

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Artwork Operations, Marketing Operations, or Product Development
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Interest in the Product Development process and bringing a product to market
  • Passion for beauty and the consumer experience in beauty
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through strong prioritization and planning
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project a plus
