Job Details: Apparel Production Manager  

Our ideal candidate will have proven success in Apparel/Garment production, manufacturing, and development. In this role, you will oversee the daily functions of the production for all apparel, delivering value through the effective balancing of timelines, quality, and costs. You will support product execution and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Design and Merchandising, e.g., the creative and the executional parts of the business. You will execute with strong attention to detail and business acumen, ensuring product flows through the appropriate pipeline and meets key milestones to meet demands and uphold the company calendar ensuring quality and on-time delivery of the product.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production process - report into the VP of Production
  • Owns the global production execution and delivery of all product categories
  • Must be timeline obsessed
  • Partner with production, merchandising and sales to ensure all products being developed fall
  • within correct price categories and merchandising plan
  • Send approved final tech packs for production
  • Set up and host bi monthly meetings with vendors to review WIP
  • Ensures production styles meet import requirements, customs laws and other inbound logistic
  • requirements
  • Work with vendors and team for packaging, shipping, carton labeling and exporting requirements
  • Work with vendors to explain hangtag and labeling requirement and placements
  • Review seasonal plan to leverage opportunities for better volume pricing and/or terms
  • Generate and distribute weekly and monthly WIP reports
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with planning, allocation, marketing, ecommerce,
  • production and design
  • Manage fabric and trims projections and liabilities
  • Approve production materials and trims
  • Carefully align the development process to hit individual product cost targets and position the
  • business to meet overall margin goals.
  • Plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines based on business priority
  • Process and issue purchase orders
  • Partner with inbound logistics
  • Track timing of TOP and PP samples
  • Manage passing photo samples to Web team
  • Follow up on QC issues and requesting discounts or charge backs and archiving of reports
  • Host hind sighting seasonal meetings for post season learnings

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in a production/PD role in apparel
  • DTC experience preferred
  • Detail oriented
  •  Experience with Yunique, Airtable, PLM and Microsoft suite is a plus.
