Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Retail Engagement and Marketing Copy Editor to join our dynamic and innovative marketing team. As a Copy Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness of our retail engagement and marketing copy across various channels.
1. Review and edit all retail engagement and marketing copy to ensure it aligns with the brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and retail managers, to develop engaging and persuasive copy that drives customer engagement and sales.
3. Conduct thorough research to gather information and insights on client products, services, and retail initiatives to inform and enhance the copy.
4. Proofread and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in all copy materials.
5. Ensure consistency and coherence in messaging across different marketing channels, including print, digital, social media, and in-store displays.
6. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the overall effectiveness and impact of copy, including headlines, taglines, product descriptions, and promotional materials.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitors' marketing strategies to continuously improve the quality and relevance of our copy.
8. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all copy materials comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
9. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative ideas to enhance the overall retail engagement and marketing strategies.
1. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Copy Editor, preferably in a retail or marketing environment.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Strong understanding of brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
6. Proficiency in using editing tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Strong research and analytical skills to gather and synthesize information effectively.
