Sr. E-Commerce Digital Merchandiser
Timing: Start ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, contract-to-hire preferred, likely 3-6 months
Client may be open to direct-hire
Hours per week: 40+
100% Remote, but you will be required to work East Coast hours.

This is your chance to join a large Consumer Goods company. They have a new role that has just opened. You will report to the Head of E-Commerce. You will be expected to dive into the business and help develop a merchandising digital strategy from the ground up!

Client needs someone who truly understands the position and requirements for strong digital merchandiser.

The Digital Merchandiser oversees merchandising, setup, and management of products, and ensures the web store is always up-to-date and accurate.

The Digital Merchandiser requires a high competency in e-commerce, content management, and project management, with a demonstrated proficiency of consumer-focused web/mobile platforms and web analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Defines Product Strategy from assortment to pricing site placement and promotional strategy
- Prepares and publishes products and their digital assets to the website in collaboration with the eCommerce Team to adhere to product launch guidelines and deadlines.
- Ensures products are appropriately assigned within the product taxonomy and merchandised according to business rules and optimization strategies.
- Manages the sourcing and maintenance of accurate, approved, and up-to-date product content, including product specifications, photos, copy, pricing, and rich marketing content.
-Proofs and audits content to ensure the consistency, integrity, and quality is maintained in all assets.
- Designs and executes conversion improving online initiatives
- Communicates with the creative department for asset creation needs. Ensures branding guidelines are maintained across assets.
- Handles the creation and maintenance of product pages, category pages, and cross-selling product recommendations.
- Knows when and how to escalate issues as appropriate, based on an understanding of the e-commerce platform, supporting systems, and underlying architecture.
- Communicates effectively with the E-Commerce Team, other business teams, and IT partners to prioritize, mitigate, resolve, and report on production issues and causes.
-Implements new navigation, landing pages, categorizations, and site search optimizations as new assortments and product categories are introduced.
- Supports upgrades, transitions, and maintenance efforts to ensure the migration of content and data necessary to website integrity.
- Collaborates with the Team in their efforts to perform testing, ensure operations, provide validation, and monitor resolutions. Participate in testing of updates and code releases across platforms, devices, and production environments.
- Engages in continual monitoring of the website for issues such as bugs, broken images, load speed, outdated information (products and price errors, etc...), and functioning of offer codes in order to maintain the E-Commerce Team's service level commitments.
- Reports on new product launches and updates to international and external partners.

- 5 + years of Digital Merchandising experience, experience in e-commerce and online/digital site management
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce) as well as reporting/analytics tools (Google Analytics), and personalization and testing platforms.
