Client Overview:
Our client is a leading streetwear and lifestyle accessory brand worn by many celebrities and athletes!
Responsibilities:
- Own management of licenses including contract negotiation, problem solving, review of product line planning, and marketing activities
- Lead in setting strategic direction of the business line, manage budget / resources allocated to licensing business efforts, and lead sales efforts to potential licensors
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats, and
- dynamics
- Identify new license opportunities and manage the process from concept and pitch to contract signature
- Analyze license account business performance, recommend changes when appropriate, and develop growth objectives
- Work in collaboration with the creative teams on content, photography shoots, and licensed product
- positioning and marketing
- Ensure contractual deliverables are met
- Collaborate cross-functionally and proactively with internal and external teams, with high attention to communication standards
- Lead small projects with the support of the team
- Actively balance the work of multiple projects, assignments, and launches in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree + 5-8 years of directly related work experience in leading licensing / account management functions; MBA preferred, not required
- Ideal candidate will have experience working at consumer / ecommerce brands that have high-profile licenses / partnerships / collaborations
- Ability to take initiative, conceptualize ideas and follow through
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written)
- Ability to liaise with corporate functions at large companies (e.g., Disney) and one-off culturally relevant celebrities (e.g., athletes, music artists, etc.)
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
