Location:  ATL OR Austin (currently remote)

Salary: $90-100k + 10% bonus + equity options

The largest home improvement retailer in the US is hiring for a Manager of SEO

Company will require you to be onsite once they are going back to office. You will have an 8-week notice to be in either city once they reopen. 

Proof of vaccine is required for this role

ROLE
The Manager, SEO leads the identification, definition, and execution of initiatives that result in improvements to this retailer's customer experience and resulting performance by improving the discoverability of the site and digital assets in Earned Media.

This Manager is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the digital behavior and voice of the customer and transforming this data into actionable insights and initiatives. They are expected to lead a team of analysts to determine critical website changes or content development that will help the company better answer customer needs within Earned Media for key merchandising categories and/or key customer behaviors related to home improvement and the home overall. The manager is also responsible for overseeing the ownership, communication and execution of a data driven strategies that quantifies the material impact of recommendations from the team.


The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Earned Media or Director of Earned Media.
You will have direct-report and supervision of activities of others in addition to personnel management including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing, leading and growing a team
  • 5+ years of SEO experience or equivalent digital marketing channel or e-commerce management with SEO as a recent focus, with a proven track record of improving business results
  • Experience with data analysis, strategy development and operational program development
  • Working knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Adwords, Google Trends, Moz, Majestic, Similar Web and BrightEdge
  • Understanding of basic corporate financial practices

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of the Earned Media landscape for maximizing the organic discoverability within search engines such as Google, YouTube, Pinterest and Bing
  • Well-developed presentation skills (oral and written) computer skills required, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to approach problems systematically, researching all alternatives and making appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to be deadline oriented with long and short-term projects
  • Proven data driven approach to solving complex problems and developing strategies
  • Strong, collaborative team player with interest and ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence and educate stakeholders
