Our client, a leader in the houseware and consumer goods space, is looking to add a Software Engineering manager to their team on a Fulltime basis, starting ASAP.
Overview:
This person is meant to improve overall best engineering practices, while hiring the best talent to build self-organized teams improving sprint team velocity and reduce time to market focused on business value driven outcomes.
Software Engineering Manafer:
- Manages all engineering activities within assigned teams including design, development, production and testing.
- Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives and aligns on digital road map
- Detects and solves performance/operational issues to improve team’s velocity.
- Establishes and improves a robust agile software engineering process and delivery timelines to keep strategic initiatives on schedule and on budget
- Create engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering teams to use and abide by
- Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members
?Ideal Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
- 6+ years managing an AGILE Team
How will Success be Measured:
- Improves team(s) velocity in the first year by 50% and each consecutive year by 10%
- Reduce the average ticket cycle time IN PROGRESS to RESOLVED by {xx} hours annually
- Deliver {xx} more story tickets across all teams in 20xx
- Reduce the amount of interruptions across all teams by {xx} tickets in 20xx
- Story completion in a sprint will at least be 90 %
- Drive teams to a FOCUSING and DELIVERING model, measured based on the Agile fluency model
