To this end we are conducting a national search for this position, and the successful candidate will work remotely from home or eventually out of one of our facilities in either the San Francisco Bay area, Harrisburg, PA area or Kansas City, MO area depending on their geography.

 

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Vice President, Ecommerce and Partner Management, the Senior eCommerce Marketing Manager will help lead the growth and profitability for several of their customer’s webstores. This is a unique career opportunity to play an instrumental role growing multi-million dollar eCommerce businesses for a set of high profile consumer brands, while honing and developing your skills across a wide range of disciplines, including: digital marketing, analytics, ecommerce UI and innovations, as well as product pricing and promotions.

The Manager will be directly responsible for examining all aspects of a brand’s store including running the P&L; then driving initiatives to boost store performance. To be successful at this, she or he will naturally gravitate toward and be comfortable with dissecting the numbers and then applying the other side of their brain to generate creative ideas for growing each store business. The Manager will be the main point of contact for her or his assigned brands and is responsible for the business results for those partner webstores. The ideal candidate can create productive, collaborative relationships with brand partners that result in a “one team” mindset.

 

Specifically, the Senior eCommerce Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following:

Growing same-store results +40% per year by increasing both sales and profit margins.

Analyzing store data with the goal of recommending and implementing business-building initiatives.

Developing, implementing and measuring marketing plans for each partner, continually optimizing these plans to hit sales and profit targets. Applying a test and learn approach throughout.

Key marketing channels will include email, paid search, SEO and social.

Developing strong relationships with brand partners by providing leadership and guidance on all aspects of their online stores.

Working hand-in-hand with partners to generate and advance store initiatives.

Building effective, collaborative internal relationships with management, peers and cross functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, etc.)

Developing and leading marketing team subordinates and peers to their fullest short and long-term career potential.

Maintaining strong knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing trends.

Leveraging that knowledge to investigate, recommend and implement solutions that achieve store goals.

 

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Strong track record generating growth via eCommerce, preferably with fast growing consumer/food brands. Prior P&L management experience or has closely assisted with that process.

Superior strategic and analytical skills.

You must love the numbers and discovering the story they tell.

The entrepreneurial ingenuity to see business opportunities and leverage tight resources to capture growth.

Exceptional relationship building and client management skills. Passionate about running and growing businesses.

Demonstrated ability to own and deliver bottom line results with minimal supervision. Thrive on learning and personal growth.

A scrappy, no-nonsense approach to building programs that have a measurable impact.

Ability to work in an open environment where collaboration and inclusion is encouraged and is key to success.

An experienced marketer who additionally has 7+ years of experience in an ecommerce role. B.A. or B.S.; an MBA is plus.

Within their first twelve months, the Senior eCommerce Marketing Manager will have accomplished the following:

Firmly established her/himself as the point person and a trusted resource for partner brands by understanding the metrics behind store businesses better than anyone else and regularly providing sound business-building ideas for those stores.

Created collaborative, effective working relationships across all World Pantry departments.

Developed and executed plans that have significantly accelerated revenue and profit growth on her/his assigned brand webstores.

Inspired the marketing team around them with passion for driving improvement in partner businesses and internal processes.
